about us

Why Served?

Eve Williamson

CEO

Alana Bralsford

COO

We are a UK-based start-up on a mission to provide the freedom for everyone with allergies, intolerances and unique dietary restrictions to finally be able to explore the culinary world without anxiety.

Eve's Story

"Imagine risking your life every time you eat out. For me and over 2 million others with allergies in the UK, this is our reality. Living with a severe allergy often means that eating out in restaurants is daunting; if I do go out, I rarely try new places and struggle to trust staff. For 24 years, I have questioned why nothing has been done to solve this problem while tragic and avoidable deaths continue to occur. Alana, my best friend and co-founder, has witnessed how a fun dinner can quickly turn into a life-threatening hospital visit."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Served?

Served is a platform designed to help people with food allergies and dietary restrictions dine out safely. We work with restaurants to ensure they provide clear and accurate allergen information, empowering them to cater to a wider customer base.

How do restaurants join Served?

Restaurants can sign up through our website to access our allergen management tools and join the growing number of eateries catering to diners with special dietary needs. We help them set up and integrate our system into their existing operations.

How accurate is the allergen information on Served?

We work closely with restaurants to ensure the allergen information provided is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. However, since recipes and ingredients can change, Served is not a medical tool. We always recommend that diners double-check allergen details directly with restaurant staff before ordering to ensure their safety.

Can I leave feedback about my dining experience?

Yes! Our webapp allows users to leave feedback about their dining experience, including how well the restaurant handled allergies and dietary restrictions. This helps others make informed decisions and helps restaurants improve their service. If you have any further feedback, we'd love to hear your thoughts! Please get in touch here:
